Cookies and browser storage

This page lists everything Prytan keeps in your browser. Prytan is run by [Company name, kennitala, registered address, Iceland]. Questions go to support@prytan.ai.
1. In short
- Prytan uses no tracking, no advertising and no analytics cookies, and nothing from other companies.
- A visitor who only reads the website gets no cookie at all.
- What Prytan keeps in your browser is there to keep you signed in, to remember a choice you made (language, theme, currency), or to carry a code from a link you followed.
2. What is kept
A cookie is sent to the server with your requests. Browser storage stays in your browser and is read by the page.

No cookie is used to credit a business for sending you to Prytan. That is recorded on your own Prytan account when you create it from the business's page (privacy policy for people who book, section 10).
3. Why there is no cookie banner
Icelandic law (Act 70/2022 on electronic communications, Article 88) allows a service to store information on your device for a lawful purpose with your knowledge. Everything above is needed for something you asked for: staying signed in, a choice you made, or a link you followed. None of it follows you between websites, and none is shared with anyone. This page is how we tell you. If Prytan ever adds anything that is not needed for the service, it will ask you first.
4. How to clear them
- Sign out removes the sign-in cookie or token. On My Prytan, "Sign out everywhere" ends every browser where you are signed in.
- Your browser's settings let you delete cookies and site data for prytan.ai and my.prytan.ai. You will be signed out, and your choices go back to the defaults.
- Blocking cookies for my.prytan.ai means you cannot stay signed in there.
