Terms of service for businesses
Last updated 1 October 2026. A lawyer is reviewing these terms; any change is posted here with its date before it applies.
These terms are between [Company name, kennitala, registered address, Iceland] ("Prytan", "we") and the business that creates a Prytan account ("you"). By creating an account you accept them. Contact: support@prytan.ai.
1. What Prytan does
Prytan lists your business for AI agents and lets them book appointments with you through the booking system you already use. Your business appears only after you have connected that system and confirmed it is yours. Nothing is listed without that.
2. Your account and your organisation
You must give a working email address. Anyone you add to your organisation can see and change everything in it. You are responsible for who you add.
3. Connecting your booking system
- When you connect a system through its own consent screen (Noona, Square), you authorise Prytan there for a fixed set of permissions, which we show you. You can revoke it at any time in Prytan or in that system.
- When you connect a system with a key (Cal.com, Cliniko, SimplyBook.me, Acuity), you paste a key. That key can do more than Prytan uses; we use it only to read your services, check free times, and create, cancel or move bookings made through Prytan, and you can revoke it at any time.
- You confirm that you are entitled to connect the account you connect, and that the business details it reports are accurate.
- One booking account belongs to one business on Prytan.
4. What agents may do
Through Prytan an agent can read your listing, see live free times, and book a service you have made bookable. The person who booked, signed in to Prytan, can cancel or move that one booking through their agent or their own page, within your rules. An agent cannot cancel, move or see any other appointment, and it cannot see your customer list. What each booking system allows is shown in the app when you connect it. Every booking needs the person's confirmation of a plain summary first. Services that need a deposit or prepayment are not offered through Prytan; the agent is pointed to your own booking page, or your phone number when you have none. Staff you have set to take only existing customers are not offered through Prytan today; the person is pointed to your own booking page, or your phone (section 5 says when a check may apply).
Your own AI. You can add Prytan to your own AI assistant as a business. It can then read your businesses' figures from Prytan (the same as your dashboard), and nothing more: it cannot change your business, its connection or its bookings. Anyone in your organisation who signs in this way sees the figures of the organisation's businesses, as in the app. You choose which AI to use and its provider's terms apply to your conversations with it; you are responsible for who can use that AI account. Disconnect it in Settings at any time.
5. Your customers' data
Prytan passes the customer's name and contact details to your booking system and keeps the minimum booking record so you can see what happened; in Prytan you see the customer's name, never their phone or email. For that data Prytan acts on your behalf under the data-processing terms, which are part of this agreement. The customer's data in your booking system is yours to protect under your own privacy policy.
Known customers. Where your booking system lets you set staff to take only existing customers (today: Noona), Prytan can check whether a person has booked with such a staff member only with a phone number it verified by a text code. Texts are switched off, so no check is made today, and a phone number a person merely saved is never used for it. If verified phones return, and a signed-in person asks for such a staff member, Prytan may ask your booking system one yes-or-no question: has this person's verified phone number booked with this staff member before? Prytan uses the answer only to allow or refuse that booking; it never shows it to anyone, stores it, or tells you. By setting a staff member to take only existing customers you instruct Prytan to apply that rule this way.
6. What we promise, and what we do not
- We make reasonable efforts to keep Prytan available and accurate. Free times and bookings come live from your booking system; if that system is down or wrong, Prytan is too.
- A booking made through Prytan is an ordinary booking in your system. Whether the customer turns up is between you and them.
- We do not guarantee any number of bookings or look-ups.
- Agents are named by what they say they are. We cannot verify their identity.
7. Fair use
We may limit how often an agent can query or book with any business, to protect your calendar and the service. We may suspend a listing that appears to be used abusively, and will tell you why.
8. Fees
Prytan is free while it is in early access, which lasts until we have built billing. Before pricing starts, every early-access business gets at least 30 days' notice by email and in the app, and may leave before it applies. The price we have announced for after early access is a flat 4,900 ISK a month per business in Iceland, or US$35 a month per business elsewhere, excluding VAT, with nothing per booking. The currency follows the business's country, from its address in its booking system, never the browser used. Early-access price: a business that joined during early access pays 3,900 ISK (or US$28) a month for its first 12 months after pricing starts, then the announced price; the 12 months run from the day pricing starts, whether or not the business stays for all of them. When pricing starts, new businesses give a card at sign-up and have 14 days free; a business whose payment does not go through is paused, which means it is not shown to agents, with nothing deleted, and it is shown again the moment payment clears. One free period per booking account, whoever signs it up.
Free months. Counted from the day you join and applied once pricing starts: one free month for each business you refer that connects its booking system and pays its first month; one free month for every 50 people who add Prytan through your own share link; at most six free months a year. These rewards never change what agents see: results are ordered by distance and name, never by who referred whom. We may withhold a reward that was obtained by misuse (for example a referred business that is your own booking account under another name).
9. Ending
You can remove a business at any time in the app; that takes the listing offline immediately and deletes its connections and bookings. You can delete your whole account in the app (Settings, Account): your businesses go offline at once, Prytan's access to your booking systems is deleted, and your data is deleted as the privacy policy says. The free-period record of each booking account is kept, so a booking account gets one free period whoever signs it up. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you break these terms.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Prytan's liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the previous twelve months, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost bookings or lost profit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email and in the app. Continued use after that is acceptance.
12. People who book through their AI
These terms are between Prytan and businesses. A person who adds Prytan to their AI creates a separate personal account with their email address, proved with a one-time code, on a page of their own (My Prytan), under section 4 of the privacy policy. By allowing an AI to use Prytan for them, they let it search businesses and, after they confirm each booking, book, see, move or cancel their own bookings through Prytan, within the business's rules. They can keep optional preferences that their AIs use when searching (saved by an AI only with their yes), get a calendar file for each booking, download everything Prytan holds about them, disconnect an AI or delete the account at any time. Prytan owes them the same honesty it owes you: nothing invented, nothing sold, no payment taken. A business never sees a person's account, only the bookings made at that business, exactly as before. A phone number a person gives for bookings is optional and is passed to the business's booking system unverified; the business confirms bookings to it as usual.
To protect businesses' calendars, these safeguards apply to personal accounts:
- Every booking through Prytan is made for a signed-in person. An AI must be connected to a personal account, and the person confirms each booking; nothing is booked anonymously.
- A personal account needs a permanent email address. Temporary inbox services are refused.
- Limits per person: at most 5 bookings made through Prytan in any 24 hours (cancelled ones count), 10 upcoming bookings in all and 3 upcoming at any one business. A person who reaches a limit can still book directly with the business.
- Suspension: Prytan may suspend a personal account that is used to make bookings the person does not mean to keep, to book in someone else's name, or otherwise to harm a business or the service. While suspended, the person cannot sign in, every connected AI loses access and nothing can be booked; bookings already made stay with the businesses. They can write to support@prytan.ai to ask why or to be restored.
13. Law and disputes
Icelandic law applies. Disputes go to the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur), unless the law gives you a right to your own courts.
