Terms for businesses
Version 2026-10-02. A lawyer is reviewing this document; any change is posted here with its date before it applies.
These terms are between [Company name, kennitala, registered address, Iceland] ("Prytan", "we") and the business that creates a Prytan business account ("you"). Contact: support@prytan.ai.
You accept these terms, and the data-processing terms, when you create your account. Prytan records which version you accepted and when, and asks you to accept again when they change (clause 13).
1. Definitions
- Business: a business you add to Prytan and connect to its booking system.
- Booking system: the system you already use to take bookings (today Noona, Cal.com, Cliniko, SimplyBook.me, Square or Acuity).
- Listing: what AI agents can read about your business through Prytan.
- AI agent: an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, acting for a person.
- Person: someone who books through their AI. A person has their own Prytan account under the terms for people who book.
- Booking: an appointment made at your business through Prytan.
- The app: the Prytan business app, where you sign in.
- Early access: the time until Prytan has built billing.
- Paused: a business that is not shown to agents because its payment did not go through. Nothing is deleted, and it is shown again the moment payment clears.
2. The service and its limits
What Prytan does. Prytan lists your business for AI agents and lets them book appointments with you through the booking system you already use. Your business appears only after you have connected that system and confirmed the business is yours. Nothing is listed without that.
Connecting your booking system.
- When you connect through the system's own consent screen (Noona, Square), you authorise Prytan there for a fixed set of permissions, which we show you. You can revoke it at any time in Prytan or in that system.
- When you connect with a key (Cal.com, Cliniko, SimplyBook.me, Acuity), you paste a key. That key can do more than Prytan uses. We use it only to read your services, check free times, and create, cancel or move bookings made through Prytan. You can revoke it at any time.
- One booking account belongs to one business on Prytan.
What agents may do. Through Prytan an agent can read your listing, see live free times, and book a service you have made bookable. Every booking needs the person's confirmation of a plain summary first. The person who booked can cancel or move that one booking through their agent or on their own page, within your rules. An agent cannot cancel, move or see any other appointment, and it cannot see your customer list. What each booking system allows is shown in the app when you connect it.
Your rules win. A service that needs a deposit or prepayment is not offered through Prytan. Staff you have set to take only existing customers are not offered through Prytan today. In both cases the agent points the person to your own booking page, or your phone number when you have none.
Health services. A health service (for example a clinic, physiotherapy, psychology or therapy) is offered only to a person who has given their explicit health consent on Prytan's own page. Health businesses outside Iceland and the European Economic Area are not offered yet.
The people who book. Every booking through Prytan is made for a signed-in person, who confirms it first; nothing is booked anonymously. A personal account needs a permanent email address. To protect your calendar, a person can make at most 5 bookings through Prytan in any 24 hours, hold 10 upcoming bookings in all and 3 at any one business, and Prytan may suspend a personal account that is misused. We also limit how often agents may query or book with any business. The rules for people are in the terms for people who book. You never see a person's account, only the bookings made at your business.
How results are ordered. By distance, then by name. Nobody can pay for a better place. See how results are ordered.
Your own AI. You can let your own AI assistant read your businesses' figures. On Prytan's sign-in page, when the email address you sign in with is your business account's, you can tick "My business insights". That AI can then read the same figures your dashboard shows, and nothing more: it cannot change your business, its connection or its bookings. It sees customers' names, never their phone number or email, and no names for bookings of health services. Anyone in your organisation who connects an AI this way sees the figures of the organisation's businesses, as in the app. You choose the AI, and its provider's terms apply to your conversations with it. You can take this access away in Settings or in My Prytan at any time.
3. Account, authority and security
- You must give a working email address. During early access a new business account needs an invitation code.
- The person who creates the account confirms that they may bind the business to these terms.
- You confirm that you are entitled to connect the booking account you connect, and that the business details it reports are accurate.
- Anyone you add to your organisation can see and change everything in it. You are responsible for who you add.
- Keep your sign-in safe. Tell us at once at support@prytan.ai if you think someone else has access to your account.
- You are responsible for who can use an AI you connected under clause 2.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- list a business that is not yours, or connect a booking account you are not entitled to connect;
- put false or misleading details in your listing;
- try to read another business's data, to get around a limit, or to disturb the service;
- copy Prytan's listings in bulk (scraping) or resell access to the service;
- create accounts, bookings or connections only to earn free months;
- use Prytan for a service that is unlawful where it is provided.
5. Fees and taxes
Early access is free. Prytan is free while it is in early access. Before pricing starts, every early-access business gets at least 30 days' notice by email and in the app, stating the start date and the price, and may leave before it applies. Staying after that date is acceptance of the price.
The announced price. A flat 4,900 ISK a month per business in Iceland, or US$35 a month per business elsewhere, with nothing per booking. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, which are added where they apply. The currency follows the business's country, from its address in its booking system, never the browser used.
Early-access price. A business that joined during early access pays 3,900 ISK (or US$28) a month for its first 12 months after pricing starts, then the announced price. The 12 months run from the day pricing starts, whether or not the business stays for all of them.
When pricing starts. New businesses give a card at sign-up and have 14 days free. One free period per booking account, whoever signs it up. A business whose payment does not go through is paused (clause 1). How long a paused business is kept will be stated in the pricing notice, and nothing is removed without notice. You will be able to cancel online, in Settings, as easily as you signed up.
Free months. Counted from the day you join and applied once pricing starts:
- one free month for each business you refer that connects its booking system and pays its first month;
- one free month for every 50 people connected through your business. A person is connected when they are new to Prytan, made their account from your share page (or typed your code the first time they signed in), and connected Prytan to their AI to book for them. A visit to your share page alone does not count, and each person counts for one business, once;
- at most six free months a year.
These rewards never change what agents see. We may withhold a reward that was obtained by misuse.
6. Data protection
- Each side follows the data-protection law that applies to it.
- For a person's own Prytan account, and for collecting and sending the booking the person asked for, Prytan is responsible in its own right. From the moment your booking system receives a booking, you are responsible for it under your own privacy policy.
- For what Prytan keeps and shows for you (the booking record in your dashboard, notifications, reading back the bookings Prytan made, and the known-customer check), Prytan acts on your behalf under the data-processing terms, which are part of this agreement.
- In Prytan you see the customer's name, never their phone number or email, because your booking system already holds them.
- What Prytan holds about you as an owner is described in the privacy statement for businesses and visitors.
Known customers. Where your booking system lets you set staff to take only existing customers (today Noona), Prytan can check whether a person has booked with such a staff member only with a phone number Prytan itself verified by a text code. Texts are switched off, so no check is made today, and a phone number a person merely saved is never used for it. If verified phones return, Prytan may ask your booking system one yes-or-no question: has this verified phone number booked with this staff member before? Prytan uses the answer only to allow or refuse that booking. It never shows it to anyone, stores it, or tells you. Setting a staff member to take only existing customers is your instruction to apply that rule this way.
7. Confidentiality
Each side keeps the other's non-public information private, uses it only for this agreement, and shares it only with people who need it and are bound to keep it private. This does not cover information that is public, that the other side already had, or that the law requires to be disclosed.
8. Intellectual property and feedback
Prytan owns the service, its software and its name. You own your business's content: its name, details, services and prices. You let Prytan show that content to AI agents and to people who search or book, for as long as your business is listed. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Prytan without owing you anything.
9. Warranties and disclaimers
- We make reasonable efforts to keep Prytan available and accurate. Free times and bookings come live from your booking system; if that system is down or wrong, Prytan is too.
- A booking made through Prytan is an ordinary booking in your system. Whether the customer turns up is between you and them.
- We do not guarantee any number of bookings or look-ups.
- Agents are named by what they say they are. We cannot verify their identity.
- Beyond what these terms say, the service is provided as it is.
10. Limitation of liability
- Neither side is liable to the other for indirect loss, such as lost bookings or lost profit.
- Prytan's total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in the previous twelve months and ISK 100,000.
- These limits do not apply to loss caused by intent or gross negligence, to claims an individual may bring under data-protection law, or to anything the law does not allow to be limited.
[The amount of ISK 100,000 is proposed and under legal review.]
11. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against Prytan about the services your business provides, or about the content of your listing, you cover Prytan's reasonable loss and costs from that claim. We tell you promptly and let you lead the defence.
12. Suspension and ending
You may leave at any time. You can remove a business in the app; that takes the listing offline immediately and deletes its connections and bookings. You can delete your whole account in the app (Settings, Account): your businesses go offline at once, Prytan's access to your booking systems is deleted, and your data is deleted as the privacy statement says. The free-period record of each booking account is kept, so a booking account gets one free period whoever signs it up.
A listing. We may suspend a listing that appears to be used abusively. We tell you why in writing.
A business account. We may suspend a business account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. While it is suspended, the app is closed to that account and no AI can read its figures. Its businesses stay listed unless we also take them offline. We tell you why in writing, and you may object by writing to support@prytan.ai. We review every objection and answer in writing.
Ending by Prytan. We may end this agreement with 30 days' written notice that states the reason. We may end it immediately only if you seriously break these terms, and we give the reason in writing at the time.
What happens to data. When the agreement ends, your businesses go offline and your data is deleted as the privacy statement and the data-processing terms say.
13. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email and in the app. If you do not accept a change, you may leave before it applies. When the new version applies, the app asks you to accept it, and Prytan records the version and the date.
14. General
- Notices. We write to the email address of your account. You write to support@prytan.ai.
- Assignment. Neither side may hand this agreement to someone else without the other's consent, except to a company that takes over its whole business.
- Events outside a party's control. Neither side is liable for a failure caused by something it could not reasonably control, such as an outage at a booking system or a network provider.
- Whole agreement. These terms, the data-processing terms and the pricing notice are the whole agreement between us about Prytan.
- If one clause fails. If a clause cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
- Which document wins. On personal data, the data-processing terms win over these terms. Otherwise these terms win.
- Language. These terms exist in Icelandic and English. For a business in Iceland the Icelandic version governs. For a business elsewhere the English version governs.
15. Law and courts
Icelandic law applies. Disputes go to the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur), unless the law gives you a right to your own courts. The regional terms below add what the law of your country requires.
Annex: regional terms
Each part applies only when Prytan is offered in that country, and only to a business there.
| Where | What applies |
|---|---|
| Iceland and the European Economic Area | These terms as written. Rules of law that cannot be set aside by contract always come first. |
| United Kingdom | Applies when Prytan is offered in that country. The limits in clause 10 apply only as far as they are reasonable under UK law. The UK addendum in the data-processing terms applies. |
| United States | Applies when Prytan is offered in that country. The US service-provider terms in the data-processing terms apply. Health businesses are not offered. |
| Canada | Applies when Prytan is offered in that country. Every email from Prytan to you carries Prytan's name and address and a way to stop optional emails. French may be required in Quebec; this is checked before Prytan is offered there. |
| Australia | Applies when Prytan is offered in that country. Nothing in these terms applies to the extent that it would be an unfair term under the Australian Consumer Law. A price change always comes with the right to leave, and Prytan always gives its reason when it ends or suspends the service. |
