Terms for people who book

Version 2026-10-02. A lawyer is reviewing this document; any change is posted here with its date before it applies.

These terms are between [Company name, kennitala, registered address, Iceland] ("Prytan", "we") and you, a person who uses Prytan to book appointments through your AI. Contact: support@prytan.ai.

If you run a business, the terms for businesses apply to you instead.

1. What Prytan is

Prytan is a go-between. When you ask your AI to book an appointment, Prytan finds businesses that chose to be listed, shows their real free times, and makes the booking in the business's own booking system after you say yes.

  • The appointment is an agreement between you and the business. Prytan is not a party to it.
  • Prytan takes no payment and charges you nothing. You pay the business, as usual.
  • Prices, services and free times come live from the business's booking system. Prytan does not invent or guess them.

2. Who can use Prytan

  • You must be 16 or older.
  • If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to you using Prytan and to the bookings you make.
  • You must be 18 or older to book a health service through Prytan (section 9).

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we delete it.

3. Your account

  • You create an account with one email address. We send a one-time code to it each time you sign in. There is no password.
  • The email address must be a permanent one. Temporary inbox services are refused.
  • Give your real name. It goes on your bookings, exactly as you write it.
  • Your account is yours alone. Do not let another person book with it.
  • Your page, My Prytan, shows your bookings, your saved details, the AIs you connected and everything you can change or delete.

4. What you allow your AI to do

When you add Prytan to an AI app, Prytan's own page asks what that AI may do, and you press Allow. The AI then holds a pass in your name. With "Book for me" it may:

  • search businesses and their free times for you;
  • book an appointment, after you have confirmed a plain summary of it;
  • show you the bookings you made through Prytan, and move or cancel them within each business's rules.

You can change what an AI may do, or disconnect it, at any time on My Prytan. Disconnecting takes effect at once.

The AI app itself is your choice. Its provider's terms apply to your conversations with it. Prytan never sees those conversations.

5. Every booking is yours, and you confirm it

  • Before anything is booked, your AI shows you a summary: the business, the service, the time and, where the business gives it, the price. Nothing is booked until you say yes.
  • A booking your AI confirms with your pass counts as yours. Keep your AI account safe, and disconnect an AI you no longer use.
  • After each booking, move or cancellation, we email you a confirmation with a calendar file. That email is the acknowledgement of your booking. If something in it is wrong, cancel the booking or write to us at once.
  • The business sends its own confirmation too, to the phone number or email on the booking.

6. Moving and cancelling

You can move or cancel a booking you made through Prytan, through your AI or on My Prytan. The business's own rules apply, for example how late you may cancel. Inside the business's notice period, Prytan gives you the business's contact details instead.

Prytan cannot change or see any appointment you made another way.

7. Fair use and limits

To protect businesses' calendars, these limits apply to every account:

  • at most 5 bookings through Prytan in any 24 hours (cancelled ones count);
  • at most 10 upcoming bookings in all;
  • at most 3 upcoming bookings at any one business.

If you reach a limit you can still book directly with the business.

8. Suspension

We may suspend your account if it is used:

  • to make bookings you do not mean to keep;
  • to book in someone else's name without their agreement;
  • for serious misuse that harms a business or the service.

While an account is suspended you cannot sign in, the AIs you connected can no longer book for you or see your bookings, and nothing new can be booked. Bookings already made stay with the businesses.

A suspension is decided by a person at Prytan, never automatically. Write to support@prytan.ai and we tell you why. If you think we are wrong, say so in the same message. We look at it again and answer within 14 days.

9. Health services

Booking a health service (for example a clinic, physiotherapy or psychology) tells something about your health. Prytan handles that only with your separate, explicit consent, which you give once on Prytan's own page, not in a chat. You must be 18 or older. You can withdraw the consent at any time on My Prytan.

Without that consent, health services are not shown or booked through Prytan. Everything else works as before. The privacy policy for people who book says exactly what happens to that data.

10. Your data

The privacy policy for people who book says what Prytan holds about you, why, for how long, and how to see, correct, download or delete it. Cookies and browser storage lists what is kept in your browser. How results are ordered says how businesses are listed for you.

11. What we promise, and what we do not

  • We pass your booking to the business's booking system exactly as you confirmed it, and we tell you honestly what happened.
  • We do not promise that a business has free times, that its listing is free of the business's own mistakes, or that Prytan is always available.
  • The service at the appointment is the business's responsibility, not Prytan's.
  • Unknown facts are shown as unknown. Prytan never fills a gap with a guess.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

12. Ending

You can delete your account at any time on My Prytan. Every connected AI is disconnected at once. Your upcoming appointments stay with the businesses, so cancel them first if you want to.

We may close the service, or your account, with 30 days' notice by email. Section 8 covers immediate suspension.

13. Accepting these terms, and changes

When you create your account you tick "I accept the terms and I'm 16 or older". We record which version you accepted, the language you read it in, and the date.

When the terms change, we post the new version on this page with its date and ask you to accept it the next time you use a Prytan page. If you do not accept, you can delete your account; bookings already made are not affected.

14. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you as a consumer. Where these terms are unclear, they are read in your favour.

15. Law and courts

Icelandic law applies. A dispute can be brought before the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur). If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory rules and the right to use your own courts where the law gives you that right.

16. Contact and complaints

Write to support@prytan.ai. We answer within one month. About how your personal data is handled, you can also complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd (personuvernd.is), or to the authority in your own country.
